about

A death metal band from Co. Tyrone, this band were formed by disaffected young men from rural areas in the years following the first BSE crisis. They purported to expose the dark and violent side of rural life, with song titles such as ‘Pesticide Holocaust’, ‘Cattle Prod Sodomy’, ‘Sythed in the Face’, ‘Peat Bog Necrophilia’, ‘Inbred To Extinction’, ‘Slurry Pit Suicide’, ‘Entrails Ripped from A Newborn Lamb’ and ‘Bolt Between The Eyes’. Following their second album, recorded in a make-shift studio in a barn, they began to develop a theatrical stage show reminiscent of GWAR. Dressed as slaughterhouse workers and deranged farmers, they would spray pig blood at the audience and swing animal intestines around onstage. This resulted in dwindling numbers attending their gigs as well as their being banned from several venues. It all went badly wrong in The Snuffers Inn one evening when leader Massey slipped on some cow innards and fell offstage breaking his neck.
