about

Inspired by the nascent UK industrial scene, Downpatrick industrialists Pulsating Scrotum first impinged on public awareness due to their controversial stage show involving buckets of pigs blood sourced from tapes operator John 'Filthy' McKittrick's father's abbatoir. Singer Dave S-Emolina's lyrics focused on methods of control through the metaphor of the abbatoir and homemade rural pornograhpy as found in local magazines such as 'Erotic Ireland' for which guitarist Sue Nips often modelled. Formed while at art school tensions within the band led to their dissolution in the early 90s as McKittrick (famed for his home-built electronic device the Scrotilizer) became dissatisfied with their move towards more dance based Electronic Body Music. S-Emolina now runs an internet dating site.
